A couple more key-rings I made :)

 Thinking about trying to make some along the lines of  the laminated pendant I made - laminating an image, punching a hole and attaching a cord/clip or ring of some sort. More experimenting is in order after we get back from our holiday I think.

It's been a bit of a slow week this week - I am looking forward to going off on holiday to see my family in Wales next weekend so my mind isn't really on painting :) 

I have done a few things though. these two are sort of experimental - I wanted to try making jewellery using laminated designs.

The first is a pendant/necklace made using a laminated image and a few beads. I threaded them onto a shoelace as I didn't really want to buy any proper supplies in until I found out if I could make it work or not. Still needs some work ( and a mini hole puncher for the pendant ) I think.

The second is a metal hair barrette with a laminated image attached with glue. pretty pleased with how this one turned out :)

Whimsical Alice

Two new designs for you today :) 

The first is my latest aceo painting which is based on Alice in Wonderland. Slightly wacky but that's the point - it's a pretty wacky story lol. I like the way it turned out I think - bright and fun.

The second is a new design for my digistamp blog/site. As it's getting near to July 4th - I drew a "Little Liberty" for any crafters in the good old U.S of A :)

Unfortunately we have all been ill over the last few days :( 

Had a nasty 24 hour tummy bug that went though all 3 of us, starting with our son being sent home from school sick last Wednesday - so not much painting has been done for a bit. This is the last image I have scanned in from my recent work but hopefully I'll be able to get started again today with some more stuff - now that the little man is back in school and everyone is feeling more or less human again :)

This one was ( sort of ) inspired by my dad. He likes meerkats so I made him a meerkat keyring as part of his Father's day present - which I unfortunately forgot to scan before I posted it :( 

Anyways, it worked out pretty well so I used it as a theme for an aceo :)

Ok, like I said, trying out a few things with a view to one day selling at craft fairs. This one is larger - painted image is 6ins x 8 ins with a 1ins border making the total size 10in x 8in. Attempt number one at a painting for a children's room. I'll probably try a few more to see how it goes.

I've been working on these for a while, since I started thinking of maybe selling at crafts fairs. They're pretty easy and quick to do and I think they look pretty cool :) 

No idea if they'd sell or not but they kept me busy for a while at least ;)

The paintings are passport photo size - 45mm x 35mm
